Yes :-) Geri's review (Aug 1st 2006)

I’ve eaten at the Alpine deli. It’s been at that location for quite awhile. It serves German style food and they have groceries. They used to have Cambamzola cheese in their deli case. I’ll admit, I haven’t looked for it this summer. The frozen bread section seems to be popular with people with German accents. My friends and I like the Reuben & Bratwurst with sides of hot potato salad or the red cabbage. I like German food, so my view might be a little tainted.

Yes :-) Eric's review (Mar 5th 2007)

I have been going to this out of the way place for lunch for years and I hit it again last week. Not only is the Alpine a fun place to eat, it is a fun place to shop with all kinds of goodies from Germany. I usually get a Rueben sandwich and a bowl of lentil soup. They make the lentil everyday and it has to be the best in Spokane. The sandwich was awesome and everything is reasonable priced. They also have some traditional German fare on the lunch menu that looks fun, but I have usually stick to the sandwiches and soup. Make a trek to the Alpine for lunch and you won’t be disappointed.
