Bistango is Niko’s hip younger sibling. They serve a variety of martinis as well as a short list of appetizers. Since I’m not really a fan of martinis I wasn’t quite sure what to look for. The lounge’s appetizer menu is a little lacking but what is on it is unique in Spokane. There are some bright spots. They occasionally will have a dancer on the bar. At first, I wondered if I should be at a place with a pole in the corner, but when I realized that no garments would be removed I felt more at ease.
The decor seems nice enough, a water feature as well as sort of an early 90’s feel. Seating is tight so expect to wait for a table or stand at the bar.
So what’s the dish?: Well, I’m kinda out of my league on this one but I think Bistango is fun. It offers all the joys of going out with friends in a upscale atmosphere.

This place makes Spokane a lot cooler. Retro-chic design and truly creative drinks and appetizers. Try the roasted gourmet nuts that come to you piping hot and very flavorful. Even if you’re a hetero male, you can enjoy a “chick” martini for a change. I tried a chocolate number that was far better than I wanted to admit with other males present. The owner is very cool, and you can tell that the employees enjoy their jobs, which translates to excellent, friendly service.

it’s about time spokane got a hip place to just hang out, have a good time, meet new people, and have amazing cocktails. the decor and trendy atmosphere is like going to a chic bar in new york or vegas, but in spokane. and where did all the beautiful girls hang out before bistango opened?

This is a great place to have drinks. The waitstaff is friendly and down-to-earth. As for the apps – the “small plates” menu, I can only attest to the pizza. I don’t recommend it – it was only slightly better than a frozen pizza.
